Wellcome Trust invites applications for Wellcome Discovery Awards. This scheme provides funding for established researchers and teams from any discipline who want to pursue bold and creative research ideas to deliver significant shifts in understanding that could improve human life, health and wellbeing.
Eligibility

The MIPLC is a part of the DAAD's scholarship program for "Development-Related Postgraduate Courses". The scholarship recipients will be granted a full waiver of the MIPLC tuition and participation fee. In addition, the DAAD will pay the scholarship recipients a monthly stipend of EUR 850. As a rule, the scholarship also includes certain payments towards health, accident and liability insurance coverage in Germany. Furthermore, the DAAD will generally pay an appropriate travel allowance, unless these costs are covered by the home country or by another funding source.

The William T. Grant Scholars Program supports career development for promising early-career researchers. The program funds five-year research and mentoring plans that significantly expand researchers’ expertise in new disciplines, methods, and content areas. Applicants should have a track record of conducting high-quality research and an interest in pursuing a significant shift in their trajectories as researchers.

The objective of this call is to promote Danish fundamental research at a high international level within the field of bioscience and basic biomedicine by supporting projects relevant for understanding the human organism and/or basal mechanisms underlying health and disease.

Chinese University Program is a full scholarship for designated Chinese universities and certain provincial education offices in specific provinces or autonomous regions to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. Position as Postdoctoral Research Fellowship available in Algebraic Geometry to be based at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Oslo. The appointment is a full-time position for a period of two years and is to begin no later than November 1st, 2021. Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity to advance gender analysis and women’s leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields through the Gender in STEM Research Initiative. The Gender in STEM Research Initiative will fund research that helps promote women’s leadership in science — notably in natural sciences, engineering, and maths — and the integration of gender analysis in these fields.

The Swedish Research Council funds research by issuing calls for grant applications in open competition. In order to provide Swedish research with the best possible prerequisites, they fund research infrastructure, both in Sweden and abroad. European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL)an international, innovative, and interdisciplinary laboratory with more than 1800 employees from many nations is offering a fellowship. The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) is open to citizens of certain developing countries with relevant professional experience and a history of supporting their countries’ development efforts who are applying to a master degree program in a development-related topic. Subject to available funding, JJWBGSP offers scholarships for the Participating Programs at universities in the U.S., Europe, Africa, Oceania and Japan in key areas of development, including economic policy management, tax policy, and infrastructure management.

A PhD Fellowship in Energy Storage is available at the Basque Center for Macromolecular Design and Engineering, POLYMAT Fundazioa and at CIDETEC Foundation. The main goal of this PhD thesis will be to develop novel hybrid block polymers stable to high voltage cathodes (> 4.5V Li/Li+), with special attention to micro homogeneity, self-healing, and Li protection.
